Library Renovation
As many of you know, the Arroyo Grande Library will be undergoing a comprehensive renovation beginning July 16, 2025. The purpose of this renovation is, in part, to update the Library and bring it into compliance with current fire suppression and ADA rules. (For more info, read our July 2025 newsletter available elsewhere on this website.)
During the construction period, FOTAGL will be unable to hold our bi-monthly book sales, nor will we be accepting donations of books and AV items. You may, however, continue to make monetary donations. Click on the “Donate” link at the top of this page for instructions.
Also, you can continue to support us by buying books on-line from our Amazon Store. Click on the “Shop” link at the top of the page for more info.
During the closure, if you have any gently used books you would like to donate, please consider donating to another local charity or non-profit.
We fully intend to resume accepting donations and hosting book sales when the Library reopens at the completion of the renovation. Furthermore, all FOTAGL annual members have been given a free one-year extension on their membership.
Finally, during construction, patrons can use the Arroyo Grande Library’s temporary location at the Arroyo Grande Chamber of Commerce, located next door to the Arroyo Grande Library, to pick up holds and return library items only. The temporary location will open Wednesday, July 16, and will be open for business Tuesdays and Wednesdays 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
