FOTAGL MEETINGS:

The FOTAGL Board of Directors meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 9AM in the library.  All FOTAGL members are invited to attend.

LEE-VOLKER COX PHOTOGRAPHY DISPLAY, SEPTEMBER THRU OCTOBER

The photography of Lee-Volker Cox will be on display at the Arroyo Grande Library in the Internet Lounge section of the Library from September-October 2017. From farming to ranching, working the land is still the lifeblood for a unique region known as California’s Central Coast. “Berries, Blooms, Broccoli, and Bulls” takes the observer on a journey into the beauty and heart of the Central Coast, where life is tied to the land and a handshake is still a person’s bond.

FAMILY CONCERT WITH MARYLEE SUNSERI SAT, OCTOBER 7, 2:00-3:00

Enjoy a performance full of interactive, familiar songs and encouragement to get moving and sing along. All ages.

CDMA PRESENTS ALADDIN TUE, OCTOBER 14, 11:00-12:00

Enjoy a production of the musical performed by the talented students at Coastal Dance and Music Academy. Fun for the whole family.

ART COLLECTIONS OF HEARST CASTLE, OCTOBER 14, 2:00-3:00

Join us as Mary Levkoff, museum director of Hearst Castle, shares with us the fascinating past of Hearst Castle and the many art collections that are housed there.

BEAUTIFUL PAPER CRAFTING WITH RUBBER STAMPS, OCTOBER 21, 2:00-3:00

Learn techniques to create beautiful greeting cards using rubber stamps and paper crafting tools. Registration is required for this multigenerational craft, ages 13 and up by visiting slolibrary.org or calling 805-473-7163.

Reminder that the library now offers services to Veterans on Mondays & Tuesdays.  Call Yvette Mason at 781-5766 for an appointment.  Come see the new “Veterans’ Office” now open in the library.

The sale is co-sponsored by the AG Library and FOTAGL.  Join us on Saturday, October 14th from 10AM to 3PM  (members may enter starting at 9:30 am. Please bring a copy of your last newsletter).  As usual you can find many treasures at truly bargain prices.  All proceeds benefit the AG Library.

ADULT READING PROGRAMS:

The adult summer reading program was a huge success.  1,000 enrollees participated.

Arroyo Grande Bookends

Join the “Arroyo Grande Bookends,” an adult book discussion group moderated by a library staff member and open to the public.
