Friends of the Arroyo Grande Library

What we do/provide The friends, through their membership dues and their book sales, provide tangible services to the library in the form of computers, printers, funds for new book purchases, new furniture, not to mention the hundreds of volunteer hours sorting, shelving and mending books.

Adult Summer Reading Program 2012

Join us for the San Luis Obispo County Library Adult Summer reading program! Reach eight goals and receive prizes and surprises. The fun starts on June 1st and ends on August 31st.

San Luis County Libraries participating in the Adult Summer Reading program are at the following libraries: Arroyo Grande, Atascadero, Cayucos, Creston, Los Osos, Nipomo, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Margarita

Books & DVDs needed for June 9, 2012 Sale

Spring Cleaning?  Sorting out your book shelves? Down-sizing?

Our organization is happy to find a new home for your books, paperbacks, CD’s, DVD’s, current magazines or Books on CD !!

Friends of the AG Library  primarily sustains our program through community donations of books. We sell books at our Book Nook inside the Library foyer and host Book Sales every 2 months on the library veranda. Proceeds from the sale are used to furnish AG Library. Most recently, a new DVD rack was installed, a Laptop computer & projector were purchased for special programs and the summer reading program is funded for 2012.

We are now preparing for our June 9, 2012 Sale

Your donations can be dropped off at the library desk or at the back door.

JOIN THE FRIENDS TODAY!

All NEW members joining the Friends of the Arroyo Grande Library in April

will be entered to WIN a NEW Kindle Touch! Your membership dues

directly benefit the library, providing additional funds for adult and

children’s programs, for furnishings and fixtures that are badly needed

yet outside the current budget limits, and for all kinds of books and materials.

The “Kindle” drawing will be held in early May; need not be present to win.
